Need Help in deciding between regular and Plus batteries for Mavic Mini 4 Pro

Any potential rules change, I guess, may be interpreted as a threat. That's just what the guy at the store said. Maybe this had something to do with it? I don't know if any other vendors have seen a run on drones.

One of the two drone-related executive orders is exactly what DJI has been asking for. They want to be tested for security because then there is proof they are not a threat, instead of a mere unsupported allegation. Unless they are tested and vindicated by December 31, they are banned automatically without any proof.

This is not a threat. It is an opportunity to prevent the automatic ban that will otherwise take place.

After posting, I see this was answered - but I just want to understand for sure.
If you've already found your answer, what exactly are you still trying to clarify?

OP - if you are a travel channel and want Canadian content, the lighter batteries will allow you to get that content with minimal hassle. If you use the bigger batteries, the hoops to jump through grow exponentially.

Not sure how you create your content, but if you share it on youtube or similar, there could be a nexus that creates a commercial use.
