Need help on traveling with drone

so leave the drone in your carry on and don't take them out? Correct?

Leave it in your carry on and put it through the belt when you get to security. Nothing to take out of your bag unless asked. I fly a ton and have never had an issue.

So some folks are recommending discharging the batteries, does this mean discharge to 0% ?
On other posts I have read that discharging the batteries completely will damage them.
The DJI manual says you can discharge them.
What is true and current as of January 2022 with my Mavic 2 pro batteries please?
Thank you very much for your answers.

You don't need to discharge your batteries to travel.
That's just a common myth that you'll see in forums.
No airline or air safety authority recommends you discharge your batteries before air travel.
