Leave it in your carry on and put it through the belt when you get to security. Nothing to take out of your bag unless asked. I fly a ton and have never had an issue.
So some folks are recommending discharging the batteries, does this mean discharge to 0% ?
On other posts I have read that discharging the batteries completely will damage them.
The DJI manual says you can discharge them.

You don't need to discharge your batteries to travel.
That's just a common myth that you'll see in forums.
No airline or air safety authority recommends you discharge your batteries before air travel.
