This will be interesting.

What looks like a Mavic 3 type body, a Matrice name and a chonky camera gimbal.

Leaked information (Most likely true)

~100x hybrid zoom
Active IR night vision
RTK built in (Puck on back)
Additional payloads
AI object tracking and identification
Visual Positioning for GPS denied areas

My questions.

Enterprise Version (Non Thermal) Wide camera sensor size, Micro 4/3?
IP rating to match the Matrice name?

Can't wait to see the reveal and the reviews!

The thing that sucks is that this will now have to go to the Matrice Pilots forum and that place is boring and dead.

A totally unofficial source told me $4170 for the non-thermal version. We shall see if this "source" has an inside track. If true I may have to retire my Phantom 4 RTK.

They basically removed the "Mavic Enterprise" from the list and called them "Matrice" instead.

Those are based on the M3 body rather than the new M4 body, let's see if the "Matrice" tag comes with an increase in price.

I watched the announcement and read about this new sUAS and it's pretty awesome.

$~4700 isn't too bad for the Enterprise mapping version. You actually get a really good hybrid zoom for such a small form factor.
The Wide sensor is the current 4/3 CMOS with mechanical shutter and the image acquisition timing has slightly decreased. This baby will put my Phantom 4 RTK to shame on project times.

I already placed a preliminary order. I hope the customs nonsense does not affect my order too much.

AVSS already has a prototype PRS, so Category 2/3 OOP may hopefully be in the near future after they finish their certification testing.

I was hoping that the Matrice name change would entail an IP rating, but I guess you need specs to make the M30 and possible M40 series more appealing. I don't fly in the rain, but I do a lot of beach mapping and SAR so dust and sand can be a problem. Beach sand tore up our M30T and it needed the majority of it's wearable parts replaced as well as the camera/gimbal.

Rumors are also showing a Matrice 400 in the works.

DJI is just nonstop innovation these days.
