New Drone? 1112 Error?

Hi Guys,

I have recently purchased a Mavic Air Fly More combi from someone on Facebook. The drone itself was stilL in the seal so I didn’t really have any suspicions about it.
I got home excited to set it all up and got an error of 1112. After doing some research it turns out that DJI have registered the drone as lost or stolen. I have attempted to contact the seller but to no avail. Is there anything I can do? DJI are telling me to return it to where I purchased it but that seems like it is not going to be possible.
I’m currently feeling like a bit of a fool! Any help would be great!

Try to get the previous owner's log/pass or have them deregister.

That’s the thing. It’s never been registered as it’s brand new.

Maybe was a brand new stolen box. Maybe an employee from a store stole the drone and the store reported as stolen.

£570. So it wasn’t like it was an unrealistic price.

Mistakes happen. Perhaps you can report to DJI that the lost or stolen designation is in error. If they won't remove the designation perhaps they can give you information on who reported it lost or stolen so you can contact them.

Unless DJI remove the activation block on it's servers, there is not much that can be done to get the drone up and running.
It's a pity it was not purchased from a registered source.

Only real option is too part it and sell it as spare parts.
