Hi All hope everyone is well?

Just bought a Mavic Pro as want to get into Photography and Videography. It is a completely new hobby and to be honest I'm very wet behind the ears as have never ever used a drone.

Ive bought some camera equipment alongside the Mavic.

Looking forward to learning off sites like this along side watching many You Tube videos.

Any help will be very much appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Mate.

I hope you're right on the Mavic. It looks a great bit of kit but I'm a little nervous reading the forums and watching You Tube. It all seems so much more complicated than i thought but hopefully as i learn it will be easier.

Ive gone entry level standard camera with a Nikon D3400 DSLR. Have also purchased a Nikon Prime Lense 35mm f1.8 and a Sigma wide angle lens 10-20mm f3.5 to go alongside the kit lens. Cant believe how expensive this hobby could become if i get serious about it lol.

It the first drone I've flown, took it straight out to fly, had it in beginners mode for 2-3 minutes, tried the usual; tried to fly into myself to test obstacle avoidance (slowly), rth etc

I customized the controls to suit me

I now have 2, kind of, mine awaiting a spare part and the wife's

I use the slightly older next model up 5300, the main lens I use is a 10.5mm, makes more interesting photos but I just do it for fun, the wife is more serious with a Canon 5d

I know what you mean about cost, its all the accessories on top of lenses that make money disappear

Sounds like having a wife into it is a real positive. My GF takes interest in what I'm doing but isn't interested in it herself.

Cannot wait to take the Drone out for the first time over the weekend but will be watching...reading as much as i can.

Ive an s8+ which seems to be getting a negative on here as a mobile device to use??

People think USB debug, flight mode, stop video cache helps

On my device (le s3) which I bought for the mavic it had 15+s delay when I first tried then I turned wifi off on the phone and it ok now

Chinese phones
