Hello fellow pilots,
I have created a website that is dedicated to educating and providing tools/resources to increase drone safety. With news of drones flying near hot air balloons just in the past few weeks, it is obvious that we pilots need to help make our skies safer. The FAA is being told that they need to make serious changes in our near future and consequently have been making some serious changes. There are other forces as well (capitalism), that want to see drones out of the consumer's hand for these reasons too. Let’s not give anyone reason to take drones out of our hands due to lack of safety.
The rules can be ever changing and muddled at times revealing a language that may not be common to the everyday pilot. Let’s not lose our right to fly because of lack of knowledge, let us educate one another and continue to bring drone safety to the forefront!
Please join me in the cause to improve drone safety values as well as educate one another in building safe skies - for your drone to fly! The website is in its infancy but there will be more to come soon.
