Hey I live in Boston also. Where do you fly? I can't find anywhere that's not near an airport or helicopter padChecking in from outside Boston, MA - decided to move up from the Spark and bought a Mavic Air
I would be interested in learning where I can fly in the north shore area. I have the pro and air and I only get to fly it a few times a year when on vacation because I live in BostonHave fun.If you lived on the north shore I was going to discuss areas to fly but we north shore people never cross the Tobin Bridge except for weddings+funerals![]()

Yea that has been one of my least favorite parts of living in New England, specifically MA. Using the DroneUp app I've been able to find a couple recommended flying areas in Wrentham and Medfield. I've also gone to Blue Hills Reservation, Wompatuck State Park, Middlesex Fells Reservation, and make regular trips to RI to Narragansett; the beach, surrounding parks and lighthouses make for great videos. I haven't flown my new air yet, but I have some small clips with the Spark that I'll upload and share this weekend and show you some nice spots in RI.
You'll love the air. I prefer it over my pro.
I might get some flight time in tomorrow because it's supposed to be nice out. Even when I find a decent spot away from an airport it always seems like I'll spot a helicopter or something. One person even recorded me with their phone a s threatened to report me to the FAA when I was about 5 miles away from an airport. I can never enjoy flying my drone comfortably without feeling like I'm commiting a crime.
