Have fun.If you lived on the north shore I was going to discuss areas to fly but we north shore people never cross the Tobin Bridge except for weddings+funerals:)

Haha same with us from the south. I've frequented Marblehead and Salem because the wife and I have friends there, but I try not to make that trip if I can help it.

I would be interested in learning where I can fly in the north shore area. I have the pro and air and I only get to fly it a few times a year when on vacation because I live in Boston

Hey I live in Boston also. Where do you fly? I can't find anywhere that's not near an airport or helicopter pad

Yea that has been one of my least favorite parts of living in New England, specifically MA. Using the DroneUp app I've been able to find a couple recommended flying areas in Wrentham and Medfield. I've also gone to Blue Hills Reservation, Wompatuck State Park, Middlesex Fells Reservation, and make regular trips to RI to Narragansett; the beach, surrounding parks and lighthouses make for great videos. I haven't flown my new air yet, but I have some small clips with the Spark that I'll upload and share this weekend and show you some nice spots in RI.

You'll love the air. I prefer it over my pro.
I might get some flight time in tomorrow because it's supposed to be nice out. Even when I find a decent spot away from an airport it always seems like I'll spot a helicopter or something. One person even recorded me with their phone a s threatened to report me to the FAA when I was about 5 miles away from an airport. I can never enjoy flying my drone comfortably without feeling like I'm commiting a crime.

Yea I can't wait to fly it- I've heard nothing but amazing things.

I had a person record me and threaten to call the police and have me arrested when I was flying in the Blue Hills Reservation. She said I was endangering her life (I was flying over and around myself and my friend and she was nowhere near us) and stated I was breaking the law by taking pictures and videos of her without her consent (I didn't record anything but the view of the city). The Chikatawbut Observation Tower is a cool place to visit though if you are in that area and every drone app I have shows it outside the NFZ of Logan and the Norwood Airport.

Wear a safety vest and get a fake badge in a toy store. If you really want to go full steam wear a hard hat and tell them to stand back from the hard hat area.Lanyard with press pass helps too.make your own(freelance)

North Shore-Ipswich from Crane beach area,Pavillion beach on Ipswich little neck-lots of winding river, mansions, ocean. The Crane Estate is beautiful-never flew from there but photographed it from surrounding area.Newburyport downtown from back of public parking lot near the water-especially toward sunset, city is nicely lit.Rockport from Front beach shoot towards downtown,Motif#1(fishing boats come in) and Bearskin Neck-nicely lit. From Salem Willows or Winter Island Salem.Marblehead from Chandler Hovey Park--lighthouse,boats in harbor-summer.Gloucester-Stage Fort Park+Eastern Point Lighthouse+Rocky Neck at Gloucester Marine Railways parking lot.No airports within 5 miles of any if I recall correctly.Plum Island has a very small airport,no tower and it doesn't show up on airmap I believe.
