Was out flying an hour ago, and didn’t see this. Popped open the Fly app just now, and here it is...

Don’t forget to update all your batteries too!!!!!
No, it means updating the FW in each battery. Sometimes the drone’s FW update goes hand in hand with a battery FW update, you need to do the all your batteries, not just the one used to update the drone. What exactly is updating batteries? Do you mean charging batteries?
I did the update with 1 battery and all good. Then after just reading your post plugged in my other 2. I didn't notice any "updating" going on.No, it means updating the FW in each battery. edit: I can confirm that there is a battery FW update as well
Incorrect. The battery used during the drone firmware update is the only one that's updated automatically. The others will have to be done manually. There will be a notification in the Fly app to update the battery, in the first window when you launch the app. This is old information by the ways, this is how the battery updates has always been from day one.I did the update with 1 battery and all good. So to everyone reading the "update your batteries too" message. That's looked after, no need to stress(to me it seems nothing is happening but I'm too new to know for sure, for all I know there could be a small piece of code sitting on the drone that does the updating and then again it might not update either.
But in a nutshell, you only need to update the drone, the batteries are taken care of as part of the process as it should be.

The batteries will still work if not updated.I just used the “non updated” batteries and had no message. They just worked with absolutely no intervention. Maybe they are being updated by the drone itself.
just my experience as a newer dji drone user.

There's not much to trick. Doing these updates are as basic as it gets.I had to trick my update.
I posted my steps in the update section.
