New from Texas

I got the Mavic Pro for my 18 year old son and myself for Christmas. I'm sure I did the biggest no no of a new drone owner by flying it in the house. Last night after charging it I hovered over the bed in beginner mode with no problem. Then this morning after my son unwrapped it we tried to fly it in the living room and apparently it wasn't in beginner mode. It hit a wall and I slightly cut my finger trying to keep it from killing someone. But since then we've had several successful flights outside.
