New Mavic Owner from the UK!

Hi Guys,

Just wanted to introduce myself, I have just picked up my new Mavic Pro on Thursday!

I have done all the firmware updates, and given it's Maiden flight too, everthing was great, and what a lovely quality item it is too!

I have had a DJI F550 for a few years, so I'm not new to flying drones, plus I have been flying radio control planes for over 25 years too.

One thing I did notice, using my iPhone 7 as the screen was it occasionally looses video connection, anything I should check on my settings?

I often use my iPhone 7 since it's more convenient than carrying a tablet along with me. I haven't experienced any issues with video loss yet though.

Here are some tips that might help:

• Install the latest firmware on your Mavic and remote controller
  
• Make sure the remote controller antennas are positioned like this
• Make sure there are no obstacles between the Mavic and remote controller
• Try these settings on your iPhone

I've that the slider cable on the side it's to blame as it pinches the cable a bit and puts pressure on the port, people say to remove the slider or use the usb port

My iPhone is in an OtterBox case, so I had to remove that slider. I found the cable was easier to attach when inserting my naked iPhone too.

FYI, if you have your iPhone in a case, this setup works well.

Many thanks some great advice there.

I was not aware that the antenna position was so critical.

I had not experienced this on my F550 as I was using a Spektrum RC radio.

The best practice video was just what I needed thanks!
