G’day guys.

Just thought id introduce myself to the group here. Have had my mavic for just on a month and throughly enjoy flying it. I still cant believe just how easy it is to fly.

I am considering getting nd filters so help with bright day shots/videos.

The main reason i got the mavic was i wanted to make video (B-Roll) and add them to my youtube channel. Feel free to comment and let me know if i can improve with anyof my video.

Welcome to the group.
Took a look at your Xmas Tree farm vid, and like me looks like you just need to go through the manual, settings, play around with all of it and learn.
White balance scroll wheel is handy.
Filters will make all the difference to your footage.

I have had trouble with stutter, parts of you video have it, but plenty of threads here and tutorials online to help wiht post editing to reduce these.

I have only just started on the editing learning curve, put a few est ones on youtube, and to be honest the quality is terrible, looks great on the ipad mini 4 and laptop screen, but youtube is awful.
I uploaded one to vimeo the other day, much better.

About time I posted it up here, will do so in the photos / video section in a sec.

Music is another part that is crucial, all the good videos seem to work with the soundtrack well, some use the beats and cut / speed up / slow down footage to match etc, really makes it.

Again welcome aboard and keep practicing, as long as you're moving forward you're going the right way.

Thanks for taking the time to reply. I agree with you in terms of the beat. After all music is what makes you feel.

Why do you say the video quality on youtube is terrible ?? Do you mean 1080 vs 4k !!!

I loaded a video to youtube and it looked awful, put on Vimeo, looks a lot better.
I think they reduce the size / res of them, possible you can get around this, not sure yet.

See my Vimeo vide I put up in the photo / video section here just an hour or so back, will post a reply there with youtube link, the difference is obvious.
I am shooting 1080 now, DJI editor and iMovie seem to not like finding higher res.
Just waiting on a decent editor, prem pro most likely.

Edit @Pulsarlx07 . . . I think the last upload I must have been looking at 480 option, I had deleted it but just uploaded again and it played pretty much same as vimeo, so looks like an option again.

when you do upload try the H264 format that seems to give me pretty decent quality uploads.

Also most i have uploaded thus far has been 1080 which have been shot in 1080 as well. From what i have read if you shoot 4k and export to 1080 the quality is alot better. hope this helps :)
