Hey guys been building and racing drones for a few years now. I just got a mavic pro and I'm wondering if there are any issues that can be avoided during setup.

There really isn't any setup to do aside from registering with DJI. You can update the firmware or not, it's your choice.

Read, understand, and follow the advice in the Mavic manual. Most people who run into flyaway situations are doing something that goes against the manual.
