I will get my Mavic on Monday. When I activate it and it tells me new firmware update do I have to do it?
Some say dont! Fly it with out the new stuff.

New person really needs help with this.

i update each time a new fw is out, have been always since day one with my phantom and now mavic, never had major issues, crashes or fly aways, i say update, dont be afraid

No. Firmware updates are optional. Just ignore the prompts to update if you don't want to update.

I say ignore for now.....make sure your MP is fully operational 1st.
Then if you inclined to do so...by all means....no one will stop you.
