Greetings one and all.

I just took delivery of my first drone, indeed my first RC aircraft, a Mavic Platinum, yesterday.

I'm never sure what to say in these meet-and-greet threads, but the general gist of me is this.

I've been interested in aviation ever since I was a kid. I even have a few hours at the yoke of a Cessna 152. A friend of mine describes my venturing in to the world of drones as being a "bucket list" item, since I've wanted to fly RC since I first heard about it. Now, nearing 50, with the advances technology has brought, I find myself in the position where that is both doable and practical. I first thought of buying one because I am very much in to nature and wildlife photography, But the idea of having something to fly as well was just too much to pass up.

So, here I am. Already I'm seeing that there's lots to learn. And I'm catching on with flying by getting some basic air time in my living room. So far all the windows and furniture, and my drone, christened "Infinite Improbability", remain unscathed.

May I be the 3rd to welcome you to Mavicpilots. I have lots of stick time in 152's and 150's.

Do your self a huge favor and dont turn it on indoors quite yet. Take it out to a huge open field and start there. The MPP, MP, MA and even Spark are too big to safely fly indoors for a new pilot.

Good luck! I would suggest you get DJI Refresh if you havent already..

Welcome to Mavic Pilots! :)
