Hey all ... a noob here getting used to flying the Mavic Mini I received last week, my first drone. What a blast to fly, found it pretty easy to pick up the basics. I'm keeping the rotor protectors on when flying outside because I don't want to wreck the thing because of my inexperience. Going to some nice open spaces with no people around and trying to get a little better each day.

I attached a quick shot I took of the neighbourhood last night.

Welcome to the forum from the deserts of Arizona! Enjoy.

mid you haven’t read it yet, I recommend the full online only 50 page DJI manual for you new bird... will help avoid a lot of potential problems and get the best from your flights.

Thanks! Read the manual in detail, watched about 6 hours of YouTube videos featuring the Mini before flying. I have a feeling there is nothing worse for the community then a new drone owner trying to fly the new toy without having a clue.

You are correct but would be surprised how many do.
Good on you. Thumbswayup

welcome ,glad to see you are starting off on a good footing, you chose a good drone to begin your journey into the hobby, good luck with all your adventures and happy flying

Nice! I didn’t recognize it to be honest with you. My parents live in that area, and I did try flying once, crazy interference after 500-600m.

Nice night video :)
