Hi Everyone

Just had a Mavic Pro for Christmas, and can't wait to try it.

I'm an enthusiastic amateur photographer, and I'm looking forward to seeing what type of photographs I can get with the Mavic. I'm not really interested in video, but that may change.

I've purchased the Refresh, I'll go an re-watch all the videos, set it all up, and then pluck up courage for a first flight!

Thanks in Advance

Tim

Happy New drone .... I hope it's not as windy at home as it is on the north east coast atm :)

Not too windy, but I'm just charging batteries, then I'll do firmware updates etc. First flight likely to be with one of my friends who I've found also have Mavics, to give me moral and technical support.

Need to get trained up by 14th Jan when I want to use it in anger on a photoshoot!

Welcome to Mavic Pilots! :)

Thanks for all the advice everyone. Did my first flight today, apparently only 5 minutes but seemed much longer!
I freaked out when I hit RTH and it started ascending, so I landed it manually, but I know what was happening now.
I also found that for the type of photography I'll be doing that 10m is plenty high enough.
Now need to find a strap for the controller, as I found I was short of hands while doing everything :)

Welcome to Mavic Pilots :)
