Hey everyone!

Long-time lurker, first-time poster. I finally pulled the trigger on a Mavic 3 Classic after months of debating between this and the Air 3. So far, I'm blown away by the image quality and battery life—definitely a huge upgrade from my old Mavic Air.

I'm based in Austin, TX, and mostly shoot landscapes and some real estate work. Still getting used to the Hasselblad camera settings, so if anyone has recommended profiles for golden hour shots, I'm all ears!

I’ve already learned a ton from this forum (shoutout to the stickied post on ND filters—saved me a lot of trial and error). Looking forward to sharing some shots once I get more comfortable with it.

Any other Texas pilots here? Would love to hear your favorite flying spots that won’t get me yelled at by park rangers.

Welcome to the forum from Northwest New Jersey.

As for camera settings, it's all about the "light." There are a ton of great YouTube videos to help explain the Exposure Triangle (ISO, Shutter, Aperture). Start there, start taking pictures/videos, and you will be a fabulous aerial photographer in no time.

Howdy from just south of Houston. I typically fly out of my driveway. not terribly scenic but functional. There is an HEB about a mile and a half from my house and on saturdays i will fly high enough and close enough to see if the parking lot is packed or not to see when i will do my grocery shopping

Welcome from the Wild West.... Midlands of England. I'm a Golden Hour junkie as well. One tool I couldn't be without now is the 'phototime' ephemeris app, lets me plan optimum location well in advance.
