Newbie to Drone world

Hi Everybody, new to the drone world from Santa Clara California. Been watching a lot of youtube about drone and the different kinds. I settled with the mini as my first drone. Now if only i can find a place to try and fly nearby that would be great. and the shelter in place doesnt help also..

Thanks for the warm welcome. I'll be in here for help for sure. I was able to unbox and updated my mini firmware but still not able to get it off the ground. Cant find a place near me that's not a no fly zone. Anybody living in the Bay Area in California?
