what am i doing wrong if i connect my nexus to the side of the controller every thing is good when i use the bottom USB on the controller theirs no connection conversation

Did you disconnect the cable from the left side of the remote controller?

Yes the side wire is removed

For what it's worth I've never had an issue connecting my Nexus 7 2013 to the bottom usb port. Have you tried different cables?

Mine works through the bottom usb cable but the tablet rund slow and the remote signal strength blinks all the time even though it's rock solid on the controller. It also freezes on video a lot. I hated to do it but I pulled the trigger an upgraded to the ipad mini 4.

I won't use any thing from Apple I would rather use a phone 1st

I tried using my Nexus 10 and it just didn't have the horsepower to make it useful for the Mavic Pro Controller.. I ended up getting the K1 Shield, which runs perfectly under Android 6.0 ( 7.0 was a bust)
