This guy is completely full of it!

"I'm calling Click Bait on your video titles! You falsely claimed in your first video that "your drone" was confiscated. Now you are claiming that "your drone" has been seized. Neither are true! First of all, it isn't your drone that is undergoing a Customs HOLD. It is a refurb replacement drone that DJI is trying to ship to you. Your original drone is still in DJI's Texas warehouse. Secondly, you bought your drone from someone who bought it for you internationally, and you dropped it and broke it. That's on you! This was never a warranty or a Care Refresh issue. DJI USA kindly tried to help you out with a repair of a drone that you consider totaled. They billed you for $165 for the repair, and will eventually get you a Refurb from DJI Canada. However, initially claiming "YOUR DRONE" was CONFISCATED, and now claiming your $4500 drone has been SEIZED, is complete BS! DJI's attempted refurb replacement is currently in a Customs Hold. Not their fault, nor is US Customs messing with YOUR $4500 DRONE! At best, US Customs is messing with DJI , not you or your drone, which is still in DJI's possession in TX! DJI already sent you back everything else except the drone, so you still have the $1400 RC Pro 2, the hub, three batteries, and the 240W charger! Just ask them to send you back your broken drone and refund your $165, if you don't want to wait for a brand new replacement for only $165!"

Thanks for the knowledge.
Everyone who bought a Creator Combo from Adorama, who has also has called DJI USA with their Mavic 4 Pro serial number, has been able to confirm that DJI USA will facilitate the 1 year DJI Limited warranty, as though it was purchased from DJI directly.

DJI will not sell Care Refresh any more in the U.S. on ANY drones because it is no longer profitable with all the Customs Holds on imported refurbs coming from DJI Canada and anywhere else, and all previous USA warehouse stocks of refurbs have been exhausted, or never existed in the first place. However, DJI USA will still facilitate warranty claims and repairs via refurb replacements for Mavic 4 Pro purchasers buying from Adorama.

So, no Care Refresh availability is not a limitation of buying from Adorama merely because it is a gray market drone. Even if DJI chose to sell the Mavic 4 Pro themselves in the US today on a limited basis, DJI would still not offer the optional DJI Care Refresh. It is no longer profitable, and it was VERY PROFITABLE before!

You might want to tell Adorama about your theory.

Current Adorama status of the Creator Combo as of 2 minutes ago, with a DJI 1 Year Limited Warranty and no Refresh availability [Full Disclosure]

Now shows "Temporarily Unavailable"
"Estimated to Ship in September."
"Order now, and your CC will not be charged until it is ready to ship."

So, if you want one, with a DJI warranty that will be handled by DJI USA, and are willing to pay for estimated repairs, replaced by a new Refurb, that paying for Care Refresh would otherwise have covered for hundreds of dollars for the policy plus the deductibles, then here is your chance.

The guy in the video was only quoted $165 to replace the destroyed Mavic 4 Pro gimbal when he carelessly dropped the drone onto the ground. Free Refurb eventually.

If Adorama is still selling Refresh on these select older models, it is because there is still sufficient stock of Refurbs of only these drones in DJI's U.S. warehouses to handle claims, and it is therefore still profitable because nothing has to go through U.S. Customs.

DJI has also announced that Care Refresh replacements of existing policies are now taking 60-90 days to process, instead of the usual 10-14 days under Express Repairs.

If drone insurance is that important to you, Adorama also sells their version for the Mavic 4 Pro. It is called Adorama Protect. See below.

The Air 3S is now an older model. Things sure do age fast around here.

Yup. DJI is the future of possible! LOL!

To your point, DJI pre-stocked Air 3S refurbs in their U.S. warehouses prior to all the U.S. Customs issues. When new purchases of Air 3S units into the U.S. from China started getting held in Customs Holds, the anticipated demand for Refurb Air 3S units dropped significantly, leaving a surplus of Refurbs available for any Air 3S units that Adorama managed to finally receive to sell. So, Adorama can still offer Refresh as long as DJI still has sufficient Refurb units in their U.S. warehouses.

You used far too many words to end up going nowhere. As I have already posted the WARRANTY, I'll leave you with this...
I said "I've seen it before, if I find a post that show Adorama is still selling DJI Care Refresh would you believe it? They are on closeout which probably means all remaining codes on hand are honored until supplies last and then they are gone: https://www.adorama.com/l/?searchinfo=dji care refresh"

There are numerous threads where I and others have mentioned DJI Care Refresh for the M4P is no longer available. We remember the few weeks when it was available and Adorama was selling it and we also remember right around the day when it was stopped. Thanks for agreeing with our previous posts where we mentioned it real time and everyone was on the same page.....and now, so are you.

I just purchased DJI Care Refresh for my NEO last night. I have no idea if they generated the code yesterday or if they simply have a bunch of codes to sell. I tend to lean towards the latter because their website says "While supplies last." That would mean these codes are not directly tied to DJI supply availability in the US. A customer has no idea has the DJI business operates and the validity of their code not be directly related. However it could be true that Adorama is allowed to continue to sell their codes and maybe generate more until DJI tells them to stop (like they've done on the Mavi 4 Pro).

The trap would be spending $5000 on a drone that you don't realize doesn't have a standard DJI warranty nor DJI Care. As for grey market, it a common term for items, and I see it a lot in electronics/cameras... For example, A seller gets an item in another country (Canada), then turns around and sells it in the USA where it wasn't supposed to be sold. Rarely does the manufacturer support this. If you go to Amazon and see an item listed as an "International Version" that's one.
After checking more closely, you now realize the $5000 drone comes with a standard DJI limited warranty and there is no option to buy DJI Care currently (but it may be open in the future) and customers are fully informed about this prior to purchase and DJI approves and supports this. Is that about right? rumor has it one day the M4P will have care Refresh available and prior customers will be able to use the Video Verification process.

It's not an international version and it's not a gray market item, correct? Unlike a private seller who drives to Canada, buys the M4P from a local dealer, drives back to the US, sells the M4P on Ebay to a fellow American.....Adorama is a DJI authorized US reseller and they're legitimately selling M4P drones is a big difference from the Ebayer and it's not a "trap" would you agree? Adorama is doing the US a huge favor here unlike Amazon and Best Buy who refuse to participate.

My friend just purchased a mini 3 on Amazon. There's no hint of any problem there...next day delivery, even. How are they getting around the customs issue?

Amazon has warehouses in many many states across the country and there are already DJI drones in those warehouses sitting there waiting to sold and shipped All those drones came from DJI China originally maybe earlier this year but are sold by various sellers including Amazon and ultimately shipped by Amazon. Since they don’t have to cross a border to get to your U S address, customs is not involved in the process. Allot has changed lately but not yet that piece. If the shipper is not Amazon and they are located outside the US then customs is involved and tariffs are hit or miss.

How is Adorama getting their drones to sell?

None of us know for sure, they're only guesses; some better than others. Whatever they are doing, it is sanctioned by DJI. I'm sure sure if Adorama has publicly said but even that doesn't matter because only a few people there know for sure.

All DJI drones are the same. There are no American drones, Chinese drones, or Canadian drones....there's only DJI drones. They are identified by serial number so DJI likely determines their "status." The customer should not care about "where those drones came from" as long as they get a valid US warranty. There is no gray market for M4P drones in the US. We have been buying DJI drones of all models from non-authorized US sellers for over a decade with no problems.

For now, nobody gets Care no matter where the drones came from because DJI is blocking Care on the M4P. Care is a service plan offered exclusively by DJI so they have 100% control over it.

I guess I'm not sure why all the hysteria over the Mavic 4 Pro? Honestly, it's partly DJI fault since they refuse to say anything officially or publicly about the Mavic 4 Pro leaving everyone to express their opinion (which this post is entirely my opinion).

Until you fly them.

Yes, for the most part these drones have universal software that can adapt to the environment in which they fly like FCC/CE. Therefore you don't need to buy an FCC drone to fly in an FCC airspace. There may be exceptions but DJI has done a good job with putting everyone on the same software with the same hardware.

No evidence of Mavic 4 Pro hysteria in this part of the world. Just pale shades of disappointment and frustration on occasion.

What is it that DJI is refusing to say about the M4P that creates a problem? They've stated that they aren't offering the in the US under the present circumstances. Straightforward and simple. They're selling the M4P and Care Refresh just as they've done with previous models, all around the world, just not in the US.

I'm unable to criticize DJI for their decision to withhold sales in the US, given the Administration's erratic tariff actions, the unpredictability of US customs policies, and the looming potential for additional federal limitations or outright bans. All that chaos and confusion seems to have led to a business decision to downplay the US market with other drone models, too.

Meanwhile, DJI is supplying and the world market is demanding and the two seem to be balancing well, without the US.

The Drone might be the same but some are packaged differently. I see many of the international ones for sale do not include a US style plug for the AC charger. Mine came from Japan and the US plug was included. Just curious to know which countries do not have the US plug. My account shows I have a 1 year warranty.

Please provide the link to the official DJI website that explains everything about the Mavic 4 Pro to US residents. I guess everyone else is confused and you and DJI are on the same page so looking forward to you answering the dozens of confused members with questions by starting off with "DJI made it clear....." as the answer. If you could please provide the URL, we can post it after most (not all) questions that come up about the Mavic 4 Pro in America.

I can provide a dozen examples of hysteria we are hearing about the M4P in the US when no such questions ever came up before this year about a DJI drone and not related to DJI not launching in America. I guess I can understand where you are coming from *if* when you interpret "DJI did not launch in America" to mean pretty much anything you want it to mean....but unfortunately that won't cut it. That's amateur hour and no wonder the launch is such a cluster if that is what DJI is relying on.

Maybe DJI can get away with it temporarily on the super expensive M4P with a knowledge and professional consumer base but if they repeat the same for the Mini 5 Pro to the masses, they're really going to find out what a disaster means.....C'mon DJI, do better. o_O
