Overexposure warning and D-log ??

I wonder what is the correct way to use Overexposure warning and Color assist display when shooting video in D-log or even M-log. Should the Color assist display be enabled or disabled? I assume, but stand to be corrected here, that to be able best evaluate the exposure to preserve the highlights, the Color assist should be disabled, right? Because only then the Overexposure warning shows the true situation about blown highlights. Is my thinking correct on this?
