"...Finally made a drone that actually competes..."Parrot has finally made a drone that actually competes with drones that have been out for years.
The pricing is actually competitive in the market segment it operates in.
I like their new CHUCK more. It can allow you to build your own Parrot UKR on your own platform.
Parrot has made top tier drones. My point is that the Anafi USA is not a very competitive product, even when released it was surpassed by the Autel Evo 2 Dual/640T and the Mavic 2 Enterprise Advanced."...Finally made a drone that actually competes..."
Parrot was the first to release a consumer class drone with a 1" sensor (Anafi), beating DJI to the draw - as well as a drone that was capable of a full 180 degree camera pitch - zenith to nadir (Anafi again).
At one point Parrot, like Autel, was dogging the heels of DJI - until they, like Skydio, dropped out of the consumer market to pursue more lucrative Government contracts.
Parrot drones have been top-tier products for years now.
You are lucky, being in the UK, you will still have access to the newest, latest and greatest from DJI and Autel."...and the price is similar to something like a Skydio X10...".
OUCH! Not in any way affordable to the average Joe then.
We've been spoiled for the last 8 years - DJI and Autel pricing their kit at a level that gives pretty much anyone the opportunity to build a career as a professional aerial photographer.
After 2025's over and done with, it looks like there's a high probability that opportunity might be lost to anyone who might want to walk down that path in the future... on a budget.
I'm watching your escalating problem(s) with horror and I genuinely hope that all this Federal flailing around to destroy the domestic American marketplace for DJI and Autel drones does lose traction and peter out.You are lucky, being in the UK, you will still have access to the newest, latest and greatest from DJI and Autel.
Parrot does not list prices, I got the pricing from Drone Nerd's quirk where in a Google search it shows a price, but in the site it says to contact them.
We in the US still have time for something to change. I will hold out hope until the end.
On a side note, I gave my Anafi Thermal to a friend's kid and it is still flying! He loves the images it takes and he is actually a much better photographer than I ever will be, so when he says he can do some good images with manual settings, I believe him.
