If you have an existing FAA Pilot's license, is there any difference in the requirements to get the commercial drone license when compared to a new pilot getting a 107 certification?

If you're "Current" on your Part 61 (BFR etc) you simply take the Online Part 107 for Part 61 but you'll still need to get an Examiner/CFI to sign off and help get it processed into IACRA.

It's much easier since you already have Part 61 so all of your test questions are related to sUAS operations and not sectionals, weather, CRM etc.

Also, if you aren't Current with Part 61 you'll have to take the full Part 107 or, which I suggest, use this as an excuse to GET CURRENT! :)
