Taking Part 107 test tomorrow. Per my studies the minimum age to receive a 107 certificate is 16. Is there an option for someone younger (as young as 14) to potentially take/pass the test, but they would not be able to apply/receive the certificate itself? Asking as I received the following info as part of the test/appointment confirmation email (see attachment) which states the min age of “14”.

Confused 🤔

It is confusing. But here is why.

The Remote Pilot Certificate is good for two years. So you can take it up to two years before you are eligible to use it. So if you take it when you're 14, you can use it once you turn 16 up until your 24 calendar months are up.

It doesn't make a ton of sense, but that's the answer.

Ahhhh, got it! Thanks Vic.

Not everyone has a ton of sense so don’t assume.
