Introduced a friend to flying drones and a year later he is asking me about 107, specifically, where he has to go to be tested. I have no clues as to testing procedures for 107, much less any rules or updated regs. Would sincerely appreciate a direction to begin my search for him. Thanks in advance.

Unless folks simply cannot read maps or understand lat/long data, etc.,
I've found the free on line reviews for part 107 exams to be quite sufficient.

After a week or two of intense review, take the FAA trial tests on line as well as any others easily found.
These will identify areas needing more study/better understanding.
Have I passed the 107? No, but I don't anticipate much of an issue.
Life managed to get in the way.
I've not flown the MP2 for a couple of months, and plan to simply restart the review process when time allows.
