I've had my mavic air for a year now and really enjoy it. Wondering is there an advantage to getting a part 107. Just doing this recreationally now.

I've had my mavic air for a year now and really enjoy it. Wondering is there an advantage to getting a part 107. Just doing this recreationally now.

It's important for knowing UAS rules, regulations and airspace. One of the main reasons I have it is if confronted by a hostile anti-droner, although hasn't happened as yet, there's a good chance having FAA credentials will disarm the over inquisitive. What also helps is wearing a bright yellow vest proclaiming FAA Licensed Drone Pilot.
