Pawn shop bird.

NICE!!! If you want to save money on props and Make your DJI FPV fly much better consider the AIKON Prop adapters, With them you can use any 5" prop!!! I use GEMFAN Hurricane props The Drone flys wonderfully and the GEMFANS are only a couple of bucks apiece.
CONGRATS on the great deal!!

Sweet ill check em out.

At the pawn shop i couldnt get it hover because props were on wrong motors.

Ran a battery attempting to hover this morning.
I took goggles off and can hover tight put them back on and im all over the place.

My heart races each time i go i to manual mode.

If you are new to FPV I encourage you to purchase the Drone Flight Simulator LIFTOFF and Practice, practice, practice.
Keep it in modes close to the ground for now.
ALSO Tuning the gain and expo on the FPV will release it from its weird flying characteristics and will make it less prone to Drifting in turns.

Thank adapters and props orderd.

Im running 100 350 25% for rates and expo. This helped a ton also working on throttle stick tension it doesnt feel smooth like i remember my old dx8 spektrumn radio.

Had a sim back when i flew nitro helicopters and planes. Thought i might skip that step this time.

For some reason i feel like im giving up the rudder on this thing something to do with turning my head. Lol

I have the screw seated now.I dont know if thats zero tension or not. I did have screw backed out some thinking it might be good to feel center but it was notchy feeling.

The gamer type control is so small. I like to pinch but am very cramped on these sticks

V2 goggles are good though amazed at the clarity. I gota stop turning my head. Lol

The head thing takes time lol I wish I was a "pincher" I have been Flying RC with my thumbs for to long now. I have tried it but no success so far I love the V2's they fit great on me at least

Ive been think about buying a finished 5" to get into fpv but had no clue id find a pair of goggles at the pawn shop hooked to a fpv dji.

Pretty stocked about this fpv thing, excited to try out the hurricane props and see how i like throttle stick were i have it set now

I will say i havent been wanting to fly my air3s much its more a tool than a thrilling adrenalin rush.

Your goggles and controller work with any 03 Equipped Drone and there are tons of them! or you can buy a DJI Air unit and build your own Drone (The best way)
Freestyle Drones are great fun and the maneuverability is AWESOME! but your flight areas are few, simply because of the exposed props. The DJI FPV is a good example of this. The DJI FPV is also VERY heavy but thats what happens when you cram a 20 min Battery in a Drone.
If you get hooked on this You should look at Whoops. You can fly them around people without worry and your props are caged up so there is a lot less Drone retrieval involved. lol
There are many Whoops made with the Air unit. including the best whoop on the Market! The cinelog. The Avata 1 is O.K. but you can't tune it -Dealbreaker!

Nice I used to live in Texas plenty of room. Here I have to Drive a bit to use my Freestyles.
Once you move to Drones with the Air unit its your choice. I use a Radiomaster Zorro. If you build your own You simply install a receiver of your choice on the Drone and bypass the air units onboard receiver. You can order Drones with air units and your choice of receiver or just the air unit I highly recommend Moving to ExpressLRS for your air unit equipped drones.

I used to build 600 size helis but im not much for soldering luckily those dont require much soldering. Ive watched vids on the quad builds and man the pretty soldering heavy.

On the geprc website i got very confused between elrs 03 etc.

Also if i was to invest in radio. Is there anything compatible across the board quad, heli, plank. Spectrum is what i prefer.

Like invest 600 800 in radio to use for the next 6 or 8 years.

I just attemoted to hover a battery over the feild, every ounce in awhile it pops up and says tighten throttle. I have it all the way tight.

I can hover a big heli solid inverted nose in but this little beast is all over the place. Kinda have a coasting hover.

Tgank you for the help and conversatiin.

There are a few water falls here im interested in diving. At this rate i might be holding a hover this time next year.

I was a Futaba guy for years but all my Foamy and mini planes run spectrum Recievers ( I use a spectrum nx-10 for those) My carpet racing mini b cars are spectrum also. My big Gasser (the smoothie) is Futaba.
Radiomaster radios will run all. (except DJI of course) as will some others. The setups can be a big pain at times tho. So I just stick with the various Radios. I am used to a "boxy" radio for planes and a gamestyle for Drones...Not sure why.

Hey, it's a good idea. Breeding them could be way cheaper than buying new ones all the time. And if you don't use 'em, make an omelette or something. Might be a little crunchy, though.
