I am not sure, was wondering samething never seen the dark ones in this spot before.

Great shot. You have the American white pelican and the brown pelican both of which are distributed in Texas. This is according to my Sibley Birds book that is my bible for the fab selection of birds in the USA.

Have a new batch of white pelicans wintering by my house in Florida too. The browns are our year around homies. The visiting whites feed in teams by dipping there beaks in tandem while the browns dive from above for their meals. Fun to watch em.
