Ok, but what about the warnings?
The warning is from the Android firmware, warning you that the software is not from "their Official Store…" and it lets you know that Android cannot authenticate its origin… Down loading the App directly from DJI has never been a problem; also, because Android cannot authenticate the source, you will need to authorize it in the setup Menu.

If you buy the RC with the display, you do not need a phone for updates nor setting up an account and attaching the drone to your account, but you must have Internet access and then you need to log it onto your Internet Service… So all those things must be done in the proximity of an internet source. The controller uses WiFi for this…

However, having a phone that has Internet access while out in the field and if it can use your phone as a hotspot (also known as tethering), the Controller can have access to the internet even when you are in the field and you can then update your maps as necessary…

Yeah, I have been messing with a Android lately.
In the past you could install apps from where ever, then google play store came along? Indicating certain apps were safe.

Now the apps on Google Play like the DJI stuff are fake and full of adds.
Does that add frustration, when you don't know this.

I still have not got DJI-Go or Fly working on this Android.

I have done factory restarts 6 times in the last two weeks.

I mostly use crApple, I have issues with them also.
I'm sure there is some corrections on my post.

It's

From your note, "I've been messing with Android lately…" sounds like Android is not your go-to OS… But if you are having problem lately, is it because your Android device (phone or tablet) is not a good choice for the DJI software?

I am using the DJI Fly App on my Galaxy Tablet S2 (a 2017 model), a Galaxy Tablet A8, a Motorola Moto G Power Smart Phone (a 2020 model), and a Motorola Moto G Play Smart Phone (a 2024 model). All of these are Android device ranging for Android Version 7 up to Version 14…

And the only problem I had was back in Feb 2024 with DJ Version 1.12.X and DJI Forum folks helped me resolve it ans I posted the cure here…

I get my phones from HSN or QVC when they run their TradFone specials. The New phone comes with one-year of service and it is usually in the $50 to $80 price range… The last purchase was for Two Motorola Moto G Play Smart Phones (the 2024 model) and both came with the one-year of service, all for $80.00.

And I usually buy a new phone every new year to keep the service going…

So, with all this being said, over the years between 2020 and 2024 the phones that I bought did not run the DJI Fly App, in spite of them having all the bells and whistles (processor 64-bit, 3GB or better Ram, 32GB or better storage, and the necessary sensors…

Reasons for this probably revolve around the phone's firmware and the way the manyfacturer pays with the various versions of Android to get the most out of the phone…

So, if you can't get your Android phone working, it just might not be compatible due through no fault of DJI…

I you want to try some older versions of the DJI Fly App or the DJI Go APP, here are the links to the APKs…

DJI Go Apps…

DJI Fly App…

By the way, DJI does not maintain a web site that they make known to the public of old versions. Their rational is that the drones operate better with the latest firmware and they do not want folks going back to Pre-RID firmware to evade the RID Requirement.

PS: if you have an overriding reason and you connect with the various administrators on the DJI Forum, you might convince them to link you up…

Good Luck!
