No worries - different environment like you said. I used to wonder sometimes how my students didn't bust a new and exciting piece of airspace every time they went flying - the south UK VFR chart is a bit busy!
I agree though - there's no excuse for carelessness and while an entirely accidental beat-up of a house or person might happen occasionally, that shouldn't excuse anyone who hasn't taken proper care to minimize the chance of doing so.
