You use a grey, same color as stock?
I use plasti dip a lot testing out various colors for , wheels, dash;s, whole cars. I know the secret of getting a good, useable finish, that can be removed easily is many, many coats.
If you did, say 4-6 coats, any disernable weight added?

No the difference is only 20 grams.... a black base coat and 2 layers of plastidip

Any signal loss, I seen a video of a guy that did that to his Phantom and it did a fly away on him after.

No plastidip is not on metallic base but on silicone so no signal loss or something like that

Great idea, if you get tired of the color, or it gets beat up, just peel it off!

I fly my mavic in the mountains a lot so I needed a bright color and I put reflective tape just in case it were to go down somewhere.

Good idea. You could probably spot it in the evening with a flashlight easier than by sunlight.
