At 74 I remember when water was free and you had to pay for porn and radio control was set by crystals and radio channels.

Lucky I am still capable to fly the P3A really. :)

I was amazed at how many are at the older end , but here I am an Englishman in France hoping to start a drone business. I have to pass a theory exam for flying microlights , without ever flying one to get a professional licence to enable me to start a business. All in French . I’m 63 this year I must be crazy

Yes, you must be crazy. You should be retired. I am also 63 happily retired and fly 7 days a week.

The Poll is showing 61-70 is the highest age count. We are all old codgers here.

Seems the drone hobby/profession has many different age groups involved. So I thought it might be fun to see the various ages of everyone.

I just turned (it's painful to say this!) 60! My mortality is rapidly coming into focus. Not a good feeling.

That's good to know. I'm turning 50 this year and thanks to presbyopia just about everything is going out of focus lately. At least something clears up with age!

I wonder what the poll would look like in a FPV/racing forum?

Right there with you, Floyd. I had a tethered gas-powered plane once way back in the day.

I appear to be in the minority at 17. It's no wonder this is such an awesome forum, you guys have tons of experience and know-how in this hobby, I know I really appreciate all the help and info I have received and am sure others feel the same! -CF
Awesome to see youth taking up the sport. I started flying control line scratch-built .049 as a pre-teen, then to RC sport, pattern, sailplane, pylon racing and now rotary (quad mini 450 and P2, MP and octo) and have slowed but not quit. Will be at this a lot longer, Lord willing. Keep it up MavicCF!!!

62 this month. I’m a fixed wing pilot as well and knowing some day being able to fly will end, I’m thinking the Mavic Pro will fill this void. So far my thinking is correct.
