@Mavic_Pete Nice setup. What holder is that you have for the iPad?
Thank you! That is the mavmount! One of the nice things about the mavmount is you can have it set up like the picture or you can screw the clamp in on the back and the iPad will sit more flat and below the controller allowing you to still see the whole RC like pictured below (not my picture and also older model mavmount)

Lenovo Tab3 8 Plus in cheap ebay mount. Arm removed as it interfered with the RC's bottom USB port.

I'm using an old nVidea Shield with a Hoodi and P3 tablet mount. 3D printed adapter plate and a metal bracket complete my Mavic RC.

Balance and portability win with this setup. I've tried lots of other mounts and tablets, but this is the one I like the best so far. ;)

On the iPad mini 4's what are the requirements for them to run the DJI GO 4 app? Do they need cellular plus a sim card? I have a iPad Air 2 and it works well, but is a way too large for my use. It's heavy! I'm looking for a mini4 just to use with the mavic pro.

I don’t put a SIM card in my mini.

Cellular one has the GPS. WiFi one not.

But both work fine

This is my simple setup:
Just 7" iPad & fits in the standard DJI Bag. The idea of purchasing the Mavic Pro is to be mobile for me anyway.
My DJI bag contains my 7" iPad & USB cord.
6 x Batteries 5 in the pockets & one contained in the Copter.
2 x Set of Propellers plus cards & USB cables in flap over pocket
See photos attached.
