Power on your Mavic Pro before putting on these ND filter?

No... just get the Freewell. You will love the ease of use and the ay actually infinitely variable, not just at indicated stops on the filter.

They are both freewell but I understand you mean the NDV

Yes... bang for the buck is the variable set. Only occasionally use my PP individual filters now.

I'm not suggesting I'm doing this because I dont have any ND filters yet. I'm asking these questions because I read that some of the filters requires putting them on after powering on the drone.

You obviously are one of those many people that don't read the manual...

If the drone is turned on:

Dont
Touch
The
Gimbal

Period.

but is not recommended to install filters with it powered

Correct you do turn them to get the effect you want so
see you jumped when posting .
