So I had a near miss with a tree while flying my M2P. Just clipped the foliage in a tree near me. Brought her in and one of the rear props was cracked so I changed it out for a new one and flew on. 10 min later brought it home to land. I was taking the props off as I store w/o them and noticed that one of the 3 clips on the prop I changed was loose inside the motor. Tricky job but got it out safely and flew a few minutes again to test ...seems AOK.

Lesson learned: check for broken prop securing tabs as part of preflight and after even minor “encounters” that may not even stop the bird’s flight. Just passing the experience on.

you were very lucky that the lug from the prop did not jam the motor i like to check tho whole mavic for damage the day before i am going flying, this includes checking for updates, battery condition, and charge and making sure that everything is as expected when viewing settings in the app, i find it easier to do the preflight check in the warm in the house this needs to be done on a regular basis, regardless of whether you have had any problems or not while out flying

Well said... even looking for small things and without assumptions on aircraft condition. Yes I had the same immediate thought about being glad the motor didn’t get jammed.
