Question re: ATTI mode for the Air3S

Hello, I saw online a screenshot of an Air3S achieving over 60mph with a significant tailwind, and I noticed this was achieved with the ATTI mode, which I understand is not something I can access out of the box. The comments mentioned a "hack" required, does anyone know what this might be?

Not that I can test it out, I don't have a licence to fly this yet, but it would be interesting in case full manual mode is required.....

There's a big difference between Atti Mode and full Manual Mode.
In manual mode, the drone would be very easy to crash and almost impossible to fly.
In Atti Mode, the drone is easy to fly (as long as it's not close to obstacles).

You are right, I realized ATTI mode is not full manual mode like an FPV drone's, it will still try to hover in place based on baro sensor data, but no GPS to hold it in place.

If you go to settings and disable the drones sensors the Drone will go into ATTI mode. Your controller is NOT setup for Flying in Manual or ATTI mode and YOU MUST use extreme caution.
You are correct ATTI is NOT Manual. If you have not flown in Manual Or ACRO, DO NOT learn on a DJI Drone! You WILL destroy it!

NO ... you cannot disable the GPS receiver and that's the only thing that is needed to swap into Atti Mode.
The other sensors have nothing to do with it.

Are you sure? (I am not) ATTI mode is a safety mode I "Assumed" lol that disabling sensors would do it.
The Air3 doesn't really have ATTI anyways. it is more like Horizon mode now, DJI calls it AS . and you can enable it thru the Pilot 2 app I am pretty sure. I don't own an Air3 Drone.

NO,NO,NO hacking anything is not needed and with some simple settings you can reach 60 mph (with no wind)
The Air 3s Is an amazing drone and should be treated with respect , the average speed of 40 something will get you where you want to go ,If you are looking for real speed move on to FPV ,The Air 3s is a CAMERA drone for petes sake

100% certain.
I've owned and flown the Phantoms 2, 3 and 4 series, all of which had selectable Atti Mode.
I used Atti Mode a lot and have flown at 68.7 mph with a good tailwind.

ATTI mode is a safety mode I "Assumed" lol that disabling sensors would do it.

It won't take you long to test that idea.

I hacked my Mavic 2 to reallocate sport mode to ATTI. Yep its fun and fast and also useful in areas with weak GPS that would cause spirals and drift.

I dont think its possible on later drones, its not disabling sensors, its telling it to ignore (but not disable) GPS. It simply means it wont use GNSS to position keep. Its free to drift on the wind. Altitude is still maintained as that doesnt use GPS.

Knocking the sensors off doesnt disable GPS input for position holding. It isnt ATTI.

I heard if you get hit by certain anti-drone devices, ATTI mode (and a 4G module) is the only way to get it outta there safely, since any GPS coordinates is going to mess up with drone's hold of coordinates/drift.

Not quite.
If they're jamming GNSS the drone will drop down to atti mode and you fly it that way.

If they jam control as well then it'll drift off on the wind.

4g won't help. That's easily jammed.
