Raw Files very small.

Just like several others I've been fighting the dreaded "Water Colour Painting" of the Mavic over processing.

To try and optimise the still images I turned on RAW+Jpg option.

The jpgs are OK, but the .dng files appear to only be previews - very small dimensions not even HD size.

They are the only other image files on the SD card. Anybody else using RAW&JPG? What have I missed?

I'll try just raw format on its own later but just thought I'd ask here.

The dng format contains a thumbnail for previews. Your picture app is just getting confused about which image to load.

You're not using an appropriate program to open your DNGs and it's only showing the small size JPG preview embedded in the file. You need proper RAW processing software to make use of them.

Duh! - As yes open in Adobe Photoshop and the usual raw converter kicks in and it's all there.
My usual viewer handles raw Files from my DSLR, never thought to check it works with the Mavic raw format.
