RC 2 Pro

I did 2 flights today to test the range on a friends drone and it is so much better compared to the RC 2 range. Don't need a 4G connection using this RC Pro 2. It lost connection around +10km

I heard the RC2 sucks so this it to be expected but what's important to me is if you can use an aftermarket external antenna on the RC Pro2 but don't see one from Alientech yet like they have for the RC2 and RC Pro1 that both suck because of the screen location and size. With a big screen right in your face it's easier to do precision flying low over the ocean around boats.

Yes, RC 2 range is nothing when compared to the RC Pro 2 but in saying that, I got half the distance with RC 2 before disconnection which is just over 5km and for me that's strong enough - For Now

The RC Pro 2 provides about the same signal strength as the RC 2. I still get weak signal, adjust antennas and interference messages when I'm flying at 200 to 300 ft in unobstructed areas, I'm not happy about that. I have taken off a couple of times without unfolding my antenas because they are not visible. I am really enjoying the Mavic 4 Pro and RC Pro 2, the best drone that I have owned thus far. I also purchased the 240W charger and use my large pwer bank in my car to top up the batteries.

Strange, my signal is much stronger with the RC Pro 2 as compared to the RC 2. Even when i tried it with an Air 3S, it worked amazingly. Only downfall of the RC Pro 2 in my eyes is the 4G block

sorry if i pm here, i'm trying to downgrade dji rc pro 2 but it doesn't seem to work, have you downgraded fw successfully?
No, I have not managed to downgrade the RC Pro 2 but have downgraded the drone itself.

The RC Pro 2 is 'supposed to have longer range' and that may be due to its antenna configuration. Both put out the same transmitter power 2 watts at 2.4 GHz and 5.8GHz however the RX Pro 2 has another channel at 5.1 GHz where only puts out 200mW (a tenth of the other channels)

RC 2
2.4 GHz: ≤33 dBm (FCC); ≤20 dBm (CE/SRRC/MIC)
5.8 GHz: ≤33 dBm (FCC); ≤14 dBm (CE); ≤23 dBm (SRRC)

RC Pro 2
2.4 GHz: <33 dBm (FCC), <20 dBm (CE/SRRC/MIC)
5.1 GHz: <23 dBm (CE)
5.8 GHz: <33 dBm (FCC), <14 dBm (CE), <30 dBm (SRRC)

"Hi, thank you for reaching out to Alientech. We haven’t got the installation cables for RC Pro 2. installation cables will be ready in about 10 days."
