I am considering upgrading to the RC -2 from the RC-N controller for my Air3s. I am curious about a few features of the controller aside from the obvious upgrade, the screen.

Does this controller get superior range to the RC-N? What other features do users point out as being better than the RC-N?

At the moment I am running the RC-N with a dedicated tablet via a mount. The tablet is a Samsung A9. It’s very light and the perfect size. The mount I have puts the screen right over the controls and I am pretty happy with it. It’s like a poor man’s RC PRO 2.

Thanks for the input.

I have flown with both the RC N3 (with Samsung tablet) and the RC 2. The screen on the RC 2 is very nice, but compared to a tablet, it's very small. It is also more convenient than the RC N3, being a lot less bulky. There are other differences but I don't remember them since I haven't used either for quite a while (since I got the RC Pro 2). My RC 2 will be for sale soon. It is relatively new and hasn't been used much. If you're interested, PM me.

I only use my RC 2 for lighter travel in place of the Pro 2. What you have now is a better viewing experience with the added hassle of charging the tablet and controller. None of the 3 options to control are best, it’s down to what works best for you. Personally, I like the Pro 2 for the all in one and it will work with several recent drone models.

I would live to get an RC Pro and, but it’s frankly not in the budget at the moment.

Charging both devices is not ideal but really a very small inconvenience.

I would like to know if the RC2 has noticeably better stick control input, and if it has more custom control buttons. From what I can tell it has two, same as the N. The two dial inputs is a nice feature, one for gimbal the other for zoom but I don’t see it as being a game changer.

If the RC 2 is capable of a stronger transmission signal that would be a selling point for me but I can’t find an answer to that question. I think Chat GPT said it’s a stronger signal but that could be wrong.
