I'm replacing the cooling fan and heat sink cover on my recently crashed mavic 2 pro. There is a foam strip between the fan and the heat sink that I believe is there to prevent damage to the motor wires underneath. I had to discard this foam to remove the original fan. Does anyone know where I can find a replacement? Or can I just use any old adhesive foam?

@jdbell2004 try a strip of the self adhesive foam used to seal around windows, colour does not matter

I have the very vague recollection that I thought it was a 'seal' to ensure that all the air coming from the fan was pushed through the heat sink, I seem to remember there is a gap between the fan's shroud and the heat sink.
If correct wouldn't some form of tape do?

I would think any foam weatherstripping would work fine. Either try to get some of the correct dimensions or cut it to the correct size. As long as the thickness is correct the width should be easy enough to trim to the correct size.
