Firstly, a Happy 4th of July?? Secondly, I’m signed up for FAA’s Webinar on LAANC. As I understand it FAA will allow Recreational Pilots to utilize LAANC on July 23rd. I wonder, however, if we’ll be able to use LAANC since we don’t have an ID number, as Part 107 pilots have. So, how will this play out?

I'm also signed up for LAANC Webinar . Good question you ask. Perhaps a ID number specific for rec flyers? . A question to ask moderator during webinar.
Happy 4th to you too.

The LANNC system doesn't actually require an ID number. Only some LAANC implementations ask for it, but others (such as AirMap) don't. Therefore I'm sure once they open it up to recreational users, not having an ID number won't be an issue.

Your Drone has an FAA#... Wouldn’t know why you couldn’t use that. St any rate even now there’s no checks on pilots or their status. Here’s my auth to fly in class b airspace and it accepted my name as brett 8883 and my flight safety justification was, “Mickey Mouse.” 76956
