Hello!

I've had the mavic for a few months now and taken it out several times to capture sunrise. I shoot RAW & 4:3, and just used the HDR shot for the first time. I got a sunrise shot I really liked and they looked great on my Google Nexus 6p phone, but when editting it in Lightroom CC, all these bright red dots scattered the image! Esp near the dark/blacks (but not all); I have NO idea what this is and really hopefully my Mavic is not faulty.

Again, this is my first time every having this issue since I've gotten the Mavic (1/2017). Maybe it was the HDR? Maybe cause those areas are so black? Also, shot in ISO of 212, Shutter 1/15s, f/2.2, 4.7 mm

Thanks!

I recall seeing something similar but I can't find any examples in my library anymore. Maybe I was running an older version of Lightroom or maybe I saw it when i tested in camera HDR but I can't remember. Is your Lightroom up to date? It kind of looks like a decoder problem of extreme blacks when pushed in post.

I never shoot in camera HDR, 5 image raw AEB is much better. It's easy, try it out next time since you're using Lightroom, which much better at putting the images together and you get more flexibility than with DJI HDR.

Hmm I recently started using Lightroom CC which I got less than a month ago, so I want to say its up to date. I couldnt find anything online to solve this problem :/

DJI DNG cleaner from here- scroll down on left.
Phantom 3 Professional - Specs, FAQ, Tutorials, Downloads and DJI GO - DJI

This is something accentuated by different software used to view or edit the DNG, it occurs with other cameras too.

Hmm do you know why this happens to this photo specifically (and other ones I shot around the same time)? I've never had any pictures from my Mavic have red dots.

Also, I downloaded the program and imported the DNG files; it processed it, but when I tried to open the processed DNG in LR CC, it said the file wasn't support: "Could not read preview" :(. Any other solutions?

It works here with older version of Lightroom 5, however I do need to uncheck not to import duplicates as it sees it as a copy.
A DNG should be a DNG - they are a kind of RAW RAW file that everything can read.

This may seem like a dumb question, but are you working with (editing) the images stored on the Mavic's microSD card... or the images stored on your Nexus 6P?

I tried it with LR 5 too and got the same could not preview message...

I removed the microSD from the mavic and editted the photos on my laptop via LR CC. I attached a screen shot of the cache photo on my Nexus 6p to show you guys that the red dots were ONLY visible on LR CC.

Please can someone help me find a solution & the reason behind this problem? thanks!

This may seem like a long shot, but - when you shoot, do you use focus peaking? I know the red dots from focus peaking aren't supposed to show in the captured image, but red dots are how focus peaking works - and it seems too coincidental... It also makes me wonder if focus peaking isn't embedded in the file for certain applications. Does LR CC have an option in the *View* menu to turn on/off various meta layers?
