Registering with faa mavic air

Hey new to the drone stuff ,just purchased a mavic air.Do I need to register it with FAA?

Hi and welcome to the forum. Yes, in the USA you will need to register yourself (it covers all your hobby drones).
You only want to use this website at FAA - FAADroneZone

Yes you need to go to the FAA website and register it. it will only cost 5.00 if it is more then your on the worng site

sad i jumped into this cespit. no need to have the public at large regester privet porperty. next will be knocks on doors demanding it to be given to the goverment. more tax? hay it only $5.usd now... in 10 years only $200.00usd. a year.and you must have a permit every time you fly, more cost and delays.

That’s the most incoherent rant I’ve read in a long time .

Best thing anyone has said to me all day.

But please show me where any governmental tax has been reduced, or elmated.
I know the confiscation is a stretch. but it is a posable thing. More likely it will just become a burden to just find a place to fly. so most will just stop. ( this being done for other hobby’s people have now).
it is a incremental deal here. just do a little more each year. and most will never argue.
