I take good care of my stuff, but I am also a scatter brain. I was on a photo shoot last night where I was working on some timelapses with my D850 and slider. I pulled out my drone to shoot a train a ways away. All was fine and I got some cool shots. Anyhow, I brought the drone down, and finished up my timelapse. Packed up and headed home 100km. Got home and went to check my files only to realize I left my drone on the roof of my car and when packing up my camera and timelapse rig, it completely slipped my mind that I had left it there and I could see the dust trails on my roof where it would have fallen off. Middle of the night, cold, and 100km away I hit the panic button and drove back not knowing where it was. On any given day I would just have my camera bag and my drone slips in there, but with my big timelapse rail and gear I was hauling around more gear then usual.

I had previously had a Phantom 4 pro drop out of the sky on me and shatter, so I was prepared for the worst. Anyhow, 160km later I found my drone and I may have gotten lucky. It fell on the front end with the arms extended and no major breakages except for one leg and the lens UV cap is cracked.

I did a quick test flight to see if it would fly and the gimbal was ok and everything worked. Some relief there. But now I need to get this leg fixed and find a new cap. Could anyone recommend to me if this is something I should send in, or could I order parts and replace?! I am located in Sk, Canada

Thanks for any help!

Ugh.... that sucks.
For that reason I never put anything on the roof, except my paddle board. And never put my keys in the trunk... touch wood.

From where?!? Nobody sells those little legs anywhere.... May I ask where you got from?!? I contacted Thunder drone but he just had full arms.

The leg is hard to replace because of the LEDs and antenna. It's often easier to replace the whole arm, which I think I've seen for $25.
The lens crack looks to be out of field of view.

I backed over my M2Z last year (was it that long ago?) I put my flymore bag on the ground as I packed a couple other things and rearranged what was in the cargo area, forgetting the M2 bag was still on the ground. Broken arms, banged up body but gimbal OK and motors could start.
Broke one antenna on the RC.
I got a refresh replacement of AC and RC. The RC cost extra $2, supposedly fixed but clearly replaced.
I did the same thing to a laptop in a backpack around 15 years ago. Only the screen was cracked on that one.
