Hello, Just wanted to introduce myself to the community. I am from Brazil, currently based in NYC. Newbie on the drone area and regulations but looking forward to learning a lot from you Pilots ! Recently acquired a M2Z and undergoing online classes for Part 107 test and license. Please forgive me in advance for the lack of knowledge and any "stupid" questions that may arise. Feel free to call me out !!!

Hope everybody is well and cheers to flying safe,

Chelo

Welcome to the forum! :)

Welcome hey! Wow!! Brazil to NYC huh!? That’s a HUGE change! Keep in mind the rules for flights around NYC! AirMap will help you.
The Zoom is awesome! Take sometime to get to know the AC! As well as the controls for it! The 107 test is great! No questions are stupid! Just try the search function first!

welcome to flying

Welcome to MavicPilots from Dayton Ohio! Enjoy your new M2Z, good luck on your certification and fly safe!

I live about 20 miles outside of NYC and don't know much about flying drones in the city but I'm sure there are some folks on the forum that can guide you to place where it is legal. It's probably very limited in Manhattan but I've heard of a few parks in Brooklyn and Queens where you can fly. Get familiar with the regulations (sounds like you will be thorough the online 107 course), stay safe and enjoy.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys !

@Shivers, thank you ! That is a huge change but i've been in NY for 15years, so I am accustomed.

@Thomas B, thank you for the link. About to print it. its gonna be my new Bible for a while. :)

2edgesword thank you ! I am getting familiar with the regulations. NYC is very strict, which is very sad, but there's about 4 or 5 parks that i can practice my flying and I'm always in long island area so i'll be able to scratch the itch whenever needed.
