Exactly! I’m not exactly sure how Litchi works with the Mini but Dronelink uses the “virtual sticks” system to control the drone by simulating stick inputs in the app and sending them to the drone. This is why smooth drone response relies quite a lot on a fast processor in your tablet/phone and why people with older or more basic devices seem to get jerky movements from the drone.
