Restart after Emergency Shutdown

Found many posts on Emergency Shutdown and Restart, but never found one describing how to restart. I saw the video of the guys who tested this from 400 feet, but how did they restart the motors ?

Crazy thoughts . . . not going to try this, but if you shutdown at 1600 feet (far out in the countryside) would the AGL display on the app ? Is so, any idea if there is enough latency in this reading that it would be un-useful in a free fall from that height ?

The displayed altitude is always the altitude above the takeoff point (never AGL).

Right, I am usually flying above lakes so the AGL and Takeoff are same for practical purposes. But I get your point.

Will this work to stop and then restart the falling drone before it hits the ground?

These guys did it. But it may not work every time. And they did it from low altitude . . If the Mavic was falling at terminal velocity, it might be a different story.
