Restricted Range

I am having a problem with my Mavic Pro as it will not fly beyond about 300ft from me. I get a message warning me that I have reached the limit of range. I am a new pilot having bought myself the Mavic as an 80th birthday present to myself.
Help please!

Turn off beginners mode in the controller menu and make sure to set your height and RTH settings.

This is most likely your issue.
Or, somehow it's been set to this in other settings for distance and altitude limits.

If you're confident to fly further, turn this off, and if you want to keep some restriction on distance and altitude for peace of mind, you can still set these to whatever you like in settings, keeping in mind the CAA 400' altitude limit, and VLOS distance which in the UK is generally accepted as 500m.
