Recently I made what I realize is a rookie mistake. I was spending time getting to know my new MP and made a critical error. I didn’t realize at the time that when the battery hits 10%, it forces the unit into RTH. At the time, I was aware of the low battery however I wasn’t concerned as I was flying in a very small area that included a small parking lot next to a grassy area with large trees. I was flying roughly 6 feet off the ground and well under the tree canopy.
Unfortunately, when it hit 10%, the unit stopped and then began climbing to the 30ft for return to home. This sent the drone straight up and directly into the tree canopy. Fortunately, the only loss was 3 of the props and lots of profanity.
What I want to be clear on is higher altitudes and RTH. If I’m at say 200ft, will it remain at that height while RTH and then lower once overhead?
